IoSR Research Seminar Day and Public Impact

The Institute of Sound recording (IoSR) held a very successful research seminar day last month, with additional attendees from the Centre for Vision Speech and Signal Processing (CVSSP). Presentations and discussions focused on recent research relating to audio quality perception, auditory modelling, sound source separation and spatial audio object capture and reproduction.

Additionally, technology being developed as part of the 'S3A' project (s3a-spatialaudio.org), in which the IoSR is a partner, has made public impact by being used in 'The Trembling Line', an exhibition by Aura Satz (www.iamanagram.com) exploring acoustics, vibration, sound visualisation and musical gesture.
